A complete system for installation of photovoltaic modules on a building façade. A gap (20 mm) is left between the insulating material and the external cladding (made of modules), ensuring correct air circulation. The photovoltaic structure for building façades was designed in a way improving thermal insulation of the structure and ensuring draining of moisture.

Tests and certificates

The only designs in the Polish market certified with the Polish Technical Approval.

The Polish Technical Approval authorises our company to:

  •  – prepare a European  performance declaration for the fixture kit,
  •  – marking our products with the construction mark B.

Customers for our structures are granted the safety guarantee that is the best in the market, as well as confirmation of the most extensive range of technical parameters, extending beyond parameters declared under PN-EN 1090-1.

The technical parameters that cannot be declared under PN-EN 1090-1, and which are crucial in terms of safety and durability in use, include:

  •  tests of connection strength;
  •  load tests for PV panels with a structure, for wind and snow loads;
  •  forces transferred by middle and end fixing clamps;
  •  kit resistance to being hit by a heavy soft or hard light body;
  •  resistance to being hit by stones.

The specified technical parameters play a very important role for safety of the product use and its durability, taking into account fixtures stability or attempts to destroy the structure.

Advantages of the Polish Technical Approval

The Polish Technical Approval belongs to reference documents, enabling placing of a construction product in the European and international market. These reference documents include relevant standards (harmonised and Polish Norms for the products) and Technical Assessments (Polish Technical Approvals (KOT) and European Technical Assessments). Before placing a given structure in the market, its manufacturer is responsible for specifying a product type and performance of essential product characteristics that contribute meeting of basic requirements by construction facilities in which they will be used.

KOT can only be issued for a product not covered (or not covered in full) by a harmonised standard and a Polish Norm for the product, but which belongs to product groups listed in Appendix No. 1 to the Regulation of Minister of Infrastructure and Construction of 17 November 2016 concerning a way for declaring performance of construction products and their marking with the construction mark (Journal of Laws of 2016, item 1966). Provisions of the said Regulation indicate that KOT and/or ETA (European Technical Assessment) can be issued when:  no norm is available/when for at least one fundamental characteristic of a given product (a product characteristic that will be declared by the manufacturer in a relevant performance declaration) an assessment method specified in a norm is not correct/when a norm does not provide for any assessment method for at least one fundamental characteristics of a given product. This means, for example, that a manufacturer who wants to declare performance characteristics of a product exceeding the scope of a given norm (e.g., PN-EN 1090-1), must obtain a relevant (European or National) Technical Assessment to put the product in the market. The Technical Assessment is a document issued on request of the manufacturer, but when it is not available for a product not covered (in full or in part) by the scope of the norm, KOT is the only document allowing to place the product on the Polish or the European market. A much more extensive range of performance characteristics, e.g., exceeding  PN-EN 1090-1, can only be declared under an European or a National Technical Assessment. The technical parameters that cannot be declared under PN-EN 1090-1, and which are crucial in terms of safety and durability in use, include: connection strength tests,  load tests for PV panels with a structure, for wind and snow loads; forces transferred by middle and end fixing clamps; resistance of the kit to being hit by a heavy soft or hard light body; or resistance to being hit by stones. The specified technical parameters play a very important role for safety of the product use and its durability, taking into account fixtures stability or attempts to destroy the structure.
